Tooth #2

Sipsey's 2nd tooth (bottom right) made its debut while we were celebrating the 4th in Dothan. I can't wait until they're all the way in. I love baby teeth. Ben says they're buck teeth (jokingly) but then reassures himself that she's going to lose these teeth, so it doesn't really matter! Even though we had an extra day to play in Dothan, it still went by so quickly. Sipsey got to see a lot of her aunts, uncles, and cousins who she had not seen since she was 4 weeks old. She was much more excited about all the people being around this time and so was I, as our visit was under much happier circumstances.

Notice the drool going everywhere. I wish I were as tan as the legs in this picture!

Sipsey and her new friends. My Mom's neighbor and her friend LOVED Sipsey.

Sipsey and me and the firecracker maniac. The boys set off fireworks for hours and then went and bought more! Sipsey and I stayed and played inside, so I didn't see any of their show.

The weekend before last, we visited Ben's parents in Georgia, so we have been road warriors the past two weekends. Traveling wears us out! Sipsey will sleep in the car seat for about 20 minutes and then she'll wake up and scream until someone sits back there with her. After an hour of playing in the back seat, she gets sleepy and cries even more because she won't fall asleep! On this trip, Sipsey got to hang out with her great-grandmother, an aunt, and an uncle! Her cousin Hillarie also stopped by to see her again. Ben and I went to the wedding of one of his good friends from high school. So Ben's parents kept Sipsey while we enjoyed a few hours alone. I was able to meet a lot of Ben's high school friends. We had a great time!

After stopping for a feeding session. That was an adventure in itself. I nursed in the backseat and then we fed her sweet potatoes in her Bumbo chair on the center console.

Getting used to new faces.

Mimi giving Sipsey her bottle.

After Ben and I got home from the wedding (we had changed clothes!). Check out Sipsey's socks.

Sipsey is soo precious! I'm glad you had fun in Dothan and I hope your mom is doing well. Jacob is teething right now...about to get in his 3rd and 4th ones. I will be glad when this week is over. Have you used/heard of Hyland's Teething Tablets? They are 100% natural. I haven't tried them yet but Jacob is so miserable today that I'm considering giving them a try.

Ok, here it is:
1. You look GREAT, I can't believe you just had a baby.
2. Welcome to the "back-seat warrior club". I have to honor the back seat with my presence for our 8 hour trips to S.Carolina.
3. Ella just cut her 13th tooth today...fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride!!!
