On July 18, Sipsey turned 7 months old. I cannot believe it! I know how the time has passed because I measure it in school semesters. I was pregnant Fall 07, she was almost 5 months old after Spring 08, and now near the end of Summer 08, she's 7 months old! After Fall 08, she'll be one! Wow. We won't go for a checkup until 9 months, so I don't have any stats for this month.
Sipsey is so fun. Ben and I constantly laugh at her personality. Right now, she grunts at anything we do that she's not happy with, like if I don't change her clothes fast enough, or when she is done eating or nursing, or when she's tired of playing with a certain toy. She stiffens her whole body, arches her back, and grunts until we fix the problem. My mom said she sounds like a little bear cub (after she heard Sipsey grunting over the phone 100 times during one conversation)! She isn't crawling yet, but she wants to. She mostly rolls to anything she wants. Lately, she'll lay her head down and push herself forward with her legs to get where she wants to go, dragging her face on the floor in the process (and grunting most of the times too).
We are getting her "6 month" pictures made next week...a month and half late! The photographer we wanted apparently is booked 2 months in advance, so I'll remember to call earlier next time. We are having pictures made of Sipsey in her christening gown and some regular pics in the studio and outside of all of us together. Does anyone have photo session advice? This is the first time we've had pro pics taken. Are there certain poses I should do (of Sipsey, not me. ha!)? What about the family pics? I have no idea how this is going to go so any pointers are appreciated! The photographer is Jason Wallis and he shot Lauren Parkman's wedding. He took such good pics of Sipsey there that we decided to hire him for ourselves! Here are some pictures of her that he took at the wedding.

Here are the pictures from our own photo session today. Sipsey looks like a little girl now! For the first time, she wouldn't sit still, she grabbed the bear to eat him, and did the "death roll" and almost rolled out of the chair.
We went to TCBY the other day with our friends Thomas and Robin, and Sipsey tried frozen yogurt for the first time! I never give her adult food so I'm not sure if this is allowed. :) But they've been giving her crackers and french toast sticks at daycare, so I wanted her to have fun with us too! She loved it by the way and I couldn't put a spoonful in my mouth without her opening her mouth like a little bird and following the spoon straight into my mouth!

oh gosh bennett does the exact same thing - grunts like CRAZY at everything. its hilarious and strangers always think its bc he is messing his diaper, so it can be a little embarrassing in public, but he is just loving his new noise!!! haha
sipsey is so big! when did our babies become CHILDREN?? geez
happy seven months sipsey!
Oh my goodness, she is adorable! I love those eyes! We are living off of Montevallo Road & my mom is keeping Harrison until next summer when he'll start daycare. I would love to all get together sometime...maybe we can do a KD mom & baby dinner. Easier said than done, but it's a hope!
Happy 7 months Sipsey! I took Simms' favorite toy, which is a singing goat puppet from the Sound of Music, to her 3 and 6 month photo sessions! It works! I am planning on taking it to the 9 month as well! Also, Simms "growls" at us! It is so funny! We can growl at her and she'll growl back! Grunts and growls! Who knows! She is precious and beautiful!
soooooo cute! i may be coming to bham this weekend... are yall gonn abe around?
I love that hair. It has a little red tint too huh? She is precious.
Lauren-
she is sooo cute... i love those beautiful eyes!!
Lauren she looks so cute and she does look like a big girl now! I think a little frozen yogurt is ok, granny said she gave me chicken legs when I was 6 months old. I don't suggest that though! You know they did weird things in the olden days! (haha)
Oh Lauren she is so beautiful! And that little dress is the sweetest...I really really hope to come down to B'ham in the next few months for a weekend to see Paul and Hilary and we desperately need to visit and catch up. Take care!
