Playdate at the Park

Saturday, we met some of Sipsey's friends from school at the park. The real purpose of the playdate was to reunite the children with their most favorite teacher ever who sadly no longer works at their school. The kids had fun playing with each other and Miss Toya.

The seesaw was a huge hit.



This is the last time Sipsey was on this seesaw. She loved it then too! We obviously hadn't been to the park in awhile. :) I miss those chubby cheeks, and I know how to use my camera much better now!



Jake loved the seesaw too!



Thanks to Jake's dad who "seesaw-ed" the kids all morning.

Sipsey and Miss Toya. Despite Sipsey's face, she adores Miss Toya and asks about her every other day without any prompting from me. I wish I knew Miss Toya's secret because she is wonderful with children and I could definitely use her tips!

Labor Day

We had a nice, relaxing Labor Day weekend. Sipsey and I went to the Zoo on Saturday (that never gets old, thank goodness!) and some friends invited us to Lake Martin Sunday and Monday. We had not been to Lake Martin since before Sipsey was born, and we all had a blast. Sipsey loved the change of scenery and riding on the pontoon boat.

Ben had to get his picture with The General Lee at the marina. He thinks that "The Dukes of Hazzard" is the best television show in the history of TV.




Sipsey got a push-pop (or a Cool Tube) from the ice cream boat.

Who needs to push it up anyway?




Sipsey woke up at 2AM with a fever on Monday. She had no other signs, symptoms, or complaints, so we decided to take her on the boat anyway (after medication to reduce the fever, of course). She did a lot of this.




Then would feel better and wanted to do a little of this.




Then went back to doing this.




I had to get a picture of Sipsey and her likeness. It was brighter than it looks, hence Ben's one-eyedness.

These blue-eyed babes are pretty sensitive to the sun!
