Pool Party

Last Friday, my sweet friend Staci asked Sipsey and me to come over and swim with her. It was Sipsey's first time in the water. She was a little scared at first and clung to me like a little monkey. She finally got used to it and started to have a little fun. We bought her a baby float at WalMart, but when I put her in it, the water came up to her mouth, so we have a little growing to do before we try that again.

Also while at WalMart, we bought Sipsey a blowup pool to enjoy at home. So on Saturday, I blew it up and we played in the front yard for awhile. She loved being able to sit and splash. The water was a little cold but she still loved it. I remember playing in our little plastic pool when I was little, and my mom would boil pots of water to pour in to keep it warm. I'll try that when Sips is older and our playtime lasts a little longer. She splashed and splashed and water was going all over the place and all in her face, but she loved it! I hope we can have lots more summer days relaxing in the shade!
