Wednesday nights at our house

On Wednesdays, I work at my internship from 7:45 until 4:30 and then go straight to school for class from 5:30 until 8:30. Needless to say, I'm exhausted at the end of the day. But my Thursdays and Fridays are wonderful, so it's okay. Because Sipsey is a late sleeper, I'm usually running out the door on Wednesdays right when she is waking up (around 7:20). If I'm lucky, I'll be ready a few minutes early and can at least wake her up and change her diaper and give her a great big hug. That's the only time I get to see her on Wednesdays, as she is asleep when I get home. So usually, Ben wakes Sipsey up, feeds her breakfast, gets her ready for daycare, drops her off at daycare, picks her up from daycare, feeds her dinner, gives her a bath, entertains her until bedtime, and then puts her to bed! That's a big deal for any one person to be in charge of. He does such a great job. I just thought I'd share with y'all what dinnertime looks like when Mommy isn't around. Please note the recurring red sauce in all the pictures. Sipsey loves spaghetti sauce, so we feed her different variations of pasta with red sauce all the time. She hates all foods that are white like rice, grits, bread, and any pasta in a white sauce.

Daddy lets me play with spoons and eat Chef Boyardee for dinner.

There is no bib in site in this picture.

This is what I found on the bathroom floor this morning. In Ben's defense, Sipsey snatches her bibs off as soon as we put them on. But I have a feeling there was no attempt to put a bib on at all in this case! Should I make him do the laundry until all stains come out of this?

It's good that they get to spend that time together. It's that way at our house...not quite as "neat and tidy" when daddy does it, but TONS of fun!!!

If you haven't yet discovered Totally Toddler, I'd suggest that you get some of it. It's a laundry pre-treat that you can find at Toys-R-Us. It has gotten red kool-aid out of shirts at my house! You can imagine with 2 boys!

What a wonderful Daddy! Daddies are SO much more fun than mommies I think! (Or at least Simms thinks so!)

Man, I hope Dan will be able to do that whenever the time come for us!! I bet Ben is one of the few dads that can handle that! Yay for Ben.

What a good daddy. How fun that they have their "own" day every week....I think that works out nicely.
