Whutt the February?

Friday night, I fed Sipsey at 7:30 and she was asleep and in the bed by 8:30. Now for the past several weeks she has been eating around 9 and sleeping from 10 - 5. So, I wanted to try to hold out for that last feeding a little longer but she wouldn't have it. So I expected to be awakened sometime like 3 or 4 for her to eat again. Well Ben got up close to 5 to go fishing and she was still asleep (and alive...we were worried). She slept until 7! Then last night, I fed her at 6, left Sipsey with Ben and went to a wedding shower at 7. I came home at 10 and expected to be feeding a baby. Nope...she slept until 8 this morning! Let me summarize: Friday night 8:30 pm to 7 am and Saturday night 8 pm to 8 am! As Ellen would say, "Whutt the February?" (I have been watching lots of Ellen lately).

As we all know, Sipsey has inherited EVERYTHING so far from Ben (her looks AND her stubborn behavior!). If she inherits anything from me, I pray that it is my love of sleep! My parents had to wake up my sister and me on Christmas morning. Both sets of grandparents would come over to see us and all our toys and my parents would have to tell them we were still in bed. We didn't even get up at like 5 am, look at what we got, and go back to bed like some kids. We slept until we felt like getting up which was around 9 or 10! I even think my mom told me that they would wait until the morning to put out all our toys from Santa because they knew we wouldn't catch them! Ben just told me that he would wake up when it was still dark and play with his GI Joes and his parents told him to stay in his room until everyone was awake! I agree with that and I hope I never have to say it. When I brought my Project Uplift kids to Birmingham last summer to stay the weekend with us, those were their instructions. "DO NOT come in my room when y'all wake up. Here is the remote and the Playstation. Entertain yourselves." Ben got up with them and the first thing they said was "Let's go wake up Lauren!" Anyway, I'm rambling. I just wanted to say "Whutt the February! My kid is sleeping 12 hours at night!"

I want to know what you are feeding her. William still likes to get up once or twice each night to eat!

I know you are sooooo excited about her sleeping! That is awesome. I hope I am as lucky as you whenever I have a baby. The pictures of Sipsey are so cute. She has grown so much since I saw her. Hopefully I can visit soon.

So Santa isn't real? You mean my parents have been buying those presents and putting them out there all these years?

I am glad she is sleeping!

I can't wait to see Sipsey again! She is getting so big. I am glad she is sleeping for you, I like my sleep too! Carly always got up early on Christmas morning, but Colby would make her go back to bed! They both like to sleep in now, thank goodness!
